Prerequisites: MGNT 322.

Introduction to organizational development (OD), including a study of structural and cultural change in organizations. Individual change and systems theory are also discussed.

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

1. Describe individual, group, organizational and systems change, including OD, as well as the OD consultant’s role in these processes.
2. Describe and identify transitions and the effect of transitions on individuals, groups and organizations.
3. Identify organizational change and development needs and opportunities and assist in the selection of an organizational development consultant for cultural and structural changes.
4. Identify the need for and ability to execute personal change.
