I.                    Revisions of minutes from December 12th were approved.

II.                 New Proposals for Committee to review

A.     Criminal Justice

CRJU.07 – Program Revision

1.      Proposal for accelerated Bachelors/Masters degree in Criminal Justice that allows students to take up to 12 credit hours of Criminal Justice coursework that may account in both the Bachelors and Masters degrees.

2.      Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

 

B.     Information Systems and Technology

ITEC.02 – Minor Change

1.      To correctly identify the in-major GPA computation.

2.      Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.03 – Minor Change

1.      To correctly identify who is able to obtain and IT minor.

2.      Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.04 – Course Prerequisite/Catalog Description/Syllabus Change

1.   To alter the rational of prerequisite core requirement courses in the ITEC department so that students must have received a grade of “C” or better in order to take upper-level courses.  This proposal is specific to ITEC 210 – Design and Development of Visual Systems, prerequisite ITEC 120. 

2.   Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.05 – Course Prerequisite/Catalog Description/Syllabus Change

1.      To alter the rational of prerequisite core requirement courses in the ITEC department so that students must have received a grade of “C” or better in order to take upper-level courses.  This proposal is specific to ITEC 310 – Programming in C and Unix, prerequisites ITEC 110 & 220.

2.      Proposals were supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.06 – Course Prerequisite/Catalog Description/Syllabus Change

1.      To alter the rational of prerequisite core requirement courses in the ITEC department so that students must have received a grade of “C” or better in order to take upper-level courses.  This proposal is specific to ITEC 320 – Procedural Analysis and Design, prerequisites ITEC 220 & 110.

2.       Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval

ITEC.07 – Course Prerequisite/Catalog Description/Syllabus Change

1.      To alter the rational of prerequisite core requirement courses in the ITEC department so that students must have received a grade of “C” or better in order to take upper-level courses.  This proposal is specific to ITEC 325 – Web Programming II, prerequisites ITEC 225 & 340.  ITEC 340 is not under the stipulation of the “C” or better clause.

2.      Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.08– Course Prerequisite/Catalog Description/Syllabus Change

1.      To alter the rational of prerequisite core requirement courses in the ITEC department so that students must have received a grade of “C” or better in order to take upper-level courses.  This proposal is specific to ITEC 340 – Database I, prerequisites ITEC 220 & 110. 

2.      Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.09 – Course Prerequisite/Catalog Description/Syllabus Change

1.      To alter the rational of prerequisite core requirement courses in the ITEC department so that students must have received a grade of “C” or better in order to take upper-level courses.  This proposal is specific to ITEC 350 – Networks I, prerequisites ITEC 110 & 220.

2.       Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval

ITEC.10 – Course Prerequisite/Catalog Description/Syllabus Change

1.      To alter the rational of prerequisite core requirement courses in the ITEC department so that students must have received a grade of “C” or better in order to take upper-level courses.  This proposal is specific to ITEC 352 – Computer Organization, prerequisites ITEC 122 & 220. ITEC 122 is not under the stipulation of the “C” or better clause.

2.      Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.11 – Course Prerequisite/Catalog Description/Syllabus Change

1.      To alter the rational of prerequisite core requirement courses in the ITEC department so that students must have received a grade of “C” or better in order to take upper-level courses.  This proposal is specific to ITEC 370 – Software Engineering I, prerequisites ITEC 110 & 220.

2.      Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.12 – Course Prerequisite/Catalog Description/Syllabus Change

1.   To alter the rational of prerequisite core requirement courses in the ITEC department so that students must have received a grade of “C” or better in order to take upper-level courses.  This proposal is specific to ITEC 495 – Information Science and Systems Senior Capstone, prerequisites ITEC 225, ITEC 370, ITEC 340, FINC 331 and MGNT 327 or MGNT 333.  ITEC 370, 340, FINE 331 & MGNT 327 OR 333 are not under the stipulation of the “C” or better clause.

2.   Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.13 – Program Revision

1.   To enforce the “C” or better clause for the core requirement courses in the Information Technology major.  These courses include ITEC 110, 120, 220, 225 and 490.

2.   Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.14 – Program Revision

1.   To change the requirements of the Enterprise System Development Concentration to include the revised STAT 200 course and to change the required MGNT course from 322 (Organizational Behavior) to 327 (Operations Management), and to then decrease the overall elective hours by 3 credits, thereby going from 8-9 credit hours to 5-6.

2.   Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

ITEC.15 – Program Revision

1.   To specify the requirements of what 200-level ITEC course students may take in order to obtain an ITEC minor.  The ITEC 202 course may not be taken as the 200-level course because of the close content to ITEC 225 which is required of the minor.  The change is so that students will cover a broader range of information.

2.   Proposal was supported and forwarded to Dr. Self for final approval.

 

III.               Next committee meeting is pending the receipt of 8 or more proposals.
