1. Music
a. MUSC.34 – Course Credit Hour Change. Change MUSC 493 Music Therapy Internship, from a 1 credit hour course to a variable credit (1-12) hour course. Proposal was supported by the UGCCRC and forwarded to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for final approval.
b. MUSC.35 – Change to Catalog Text. Change sentence in first paragraph under the Undergraduate Degree program from “The undergraduate programs in the Department of Music prepare students for careers as teachers of music in elementary, middle, and secondary schools and private studios; for careers in music therapy, music business, music performance or composition; and/or for advanced professional study in music” to “The undergraduate programs in the department of Music prepare students for careers as teachers of music in elementary, middle and secondary schools and private studios; for careers in music therapy, music business, music and technology, composition or performance; and/or for advanced graduate or professional study in music. Proposal was supported by the UGCCRC and forwarded to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for final approval.

MUSC.36
– Program Revision. Addition of MUSC 127 (3 credits) to the Bachelor of
Music concentrations in Music Business, Performance, and Music Therapy.
Although some concerns were expressed over the large number of credit hours
needed for the Music degree programs, the Proposal was supported by the UGCCRC
and forwarded to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for final approval.
a. IDEC.01 – Program Revision. Numerous changes within the Interdisciplinary Studies Early Childhood (IDEC) major were proposed, including changes to the General Education requirements, the Interdisciplinary Core requirements, the Special Education (EDSP) Concentration requirements, and the Professional Education requirements. Refer to Proposal for specifics. Proposal was supported by the UGCCRC and forwarded to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for final approval.
B. 2003-2004 Catalog Production Schedule Reviewed
C. Pending the receipt of additional proposals, our next meeting will be held on February 19th at 8 a.m. in the Business Affairs Conference Room.
