Who We Are:  The Radford University Physics and Astronomy Club. Our members are students of any major, or who are interested in physical science and/or astronomy.  The physics professors at Radford attend our meetings and participate in activities, as well as provide direction for our club. We are an official club recognized by the university's Department of Clubs and Programming.

What We Do:  Our goal is to provide information to  members about happenings in the world of science as well as plan activities that may interest it's members. As a whole, P&A organizes numerous weekly activities including: bi-weekly meetings, monthly RU Astronomy Nights in Moffet Quad, weekly Selu Public Observing Nights, weekly planetarium shows, and various other programs. Additionally, the Radford CAP organizes a variety of larger events, on and off campus. Examples of these include river races, inter-club games/tournaments, and trips all over the east coast.

Why Join P&A:  The Radford Physics and Astronomy Club offers a number of incentives for science/astronomy majors and others to join. Firstly, our regular meetings, socials and activities provide an excellent opportunity for those with a physics/astronomy interest to consort with each other. The PAC is the perfect environment to share thoughts and ideas in the relevant fields, as well as seek advice from those more experienced. Through fundraising and financial support from the university, the PAC organizes many activities that stand to benefit science majors, university students and the town of Radford as a whole. In addition to weekly meetings and activities, the PAC travels to various "hot spots" in the science world. Examples include: national/international conferences, major optical/radio observatories, nuclear facilities, museums, other universities, and other major science facilities and meetings around the nation.

How to Join:  If you're interested in joining, or just want more information, simply come to any of our posted meetings and events, or contact us at:
